Passion & Enthusiasm - The Difference Makers
With boundless enthusiasm, her "passion" for soccer made her successful. His skills as a player, didn't quite match his "passion" for the game. Passion is a strong feeling about a subject that is characterized by intense desire. How many children did you see possess a strong desire to achieve his/her goals? The separation between the achievers and the observers is not about skill, it is about passion and a compelling, intense desire to commit to a cause, a plan, and/or a goal. As in athletics, successful business people and entrepreneurs share a common trait - passion. Anti-Aging Convention in Orlando, FL
Tonight we listened to the report of our upline and an orthopedic doctor from Houston, TX who, along with 13 others attended a two-day medical convention on anti-aging this past weekend in Orlando. They reported that the NuSkin booth was the most visited in the show with 5,000 physicians. Dr. Calvo indicated that they sold 200+ Galvanic Spa kits at the show.
The NuSkin booth gave demo's on the face and hand. Dr. Calvo said we (NuSkin) are at the right place, at the right time with ageLOC and the Galvanic Spa. There was another booth with a Galvanic Spa machine that cost $79,000 each. Only NuSkin has a patented microchip with the NuSkin Galvanic Spa. The ARNox toxic enzyme found in the cell with ageLOC as a solution to anti-aging is amazing and revolutionary. The many physicians were amazed.
A 50 year lady doctor used her hand as a demo and her hand looked like she was 20. Use of the Tru Face Essence Ultra with Ethocyn removed lines. Many doctors said they were going to put these products into their practice immediately. Dr. Calvo and his wife are not sales people, but they just told the story and other doctors were really impressed.
Dr. Chang, top researcher in NuSkin's R&D team said that "we have a winner with the ageLOC line; and the game is over". The Power of Lists
If you want to succeed in a business, know what the successful business professionals do and follow their lead. In NuSkin, making and using "lists" is a key tactic. Lists are small data bases of information. In recruiting, we create, find and make lists for everything. Careerbuilder, Monster, Hotjobs, Dice and other search engines are nothing but big lists. Thousands of associations have membership lists. Sorkins and other corporate, education and government directories lists thousands of people in organizations throughout America and worldwide. What's the point? Create and find your own list of people. Start with people you know who respect/trust you. Add people who's business card you have kept. Follow the trail of emails, Facebook, Linkedin, and other communication services. There are 300 million people in the US and 6 billion worldwide. There is no limit to prospecting candidates to join your team. Make a list, find a list and "tell the story and show the pictures"!

Don't Pre-judge a Person's "Why"
We tend to pre-judge people, without really knowing their "why". Because we know someone, really well - well - so/so - or casually, we begin to make judgements on their interest levels in any opportunity. What I have found in sales/marketing and recruiting for jobs/employment, is that everyone has their own "why". Events in each person's life establishes "pushes and pulls". These events that push someone towards some action and events that pull people along, varies from one person to the next. There is no way we can know and/or understand where a person is in their life; their career; or their current situation. I have talked with nearly 10,000 people about their careers and have found that people tell you half truths. When I thought someone was really ready to make a change and take a career changing step, they were not ready. And, then there are others that out of the blue are ready for that change. So I have learned over the years to not pre-judge any one's "why". I present the facts, the opportunity and let them say yes or no. Point of Interest: Be willing to present a business opportunity like our NuSkin business, and let them say yes or no. No doesn't mean no forever, it means "no not right now". Something may change in their life, that tomorrow they may be interested.

Weekly NuSkin Meeting
Last night we held our first Weekly NuSkin Meeting at Culpepper's Restaurant in Kirkwood, Missouri (USA). There were fifteen NuSkin Distributors and other interested parties. One participant was located overseas and listened via a cell phone. Tom Taylor kicked off the meeting with his reason for getting involved with NuSkin, which is to provide a career option for executive search candidates to his business, who cannot find work. Larry Lalumondiere provided a history on the company, its products and the business opportunity. Patty Lalumondiere, a partner in NuSkin and 20 year user of NuSkin products demonstrated the use of ageLOC, the Galvanic Spa II System and Tru Face Essence Ultra. Three users of the NuSkin products and now Distributors were there who validated the positive "anti-aging" effects of using the products. After the presentation, many attendees discussed how to start and run the business and sought methods for developing leads and building the business.
Summary: In every organization, a weekly scheduled staff meeting and/or sales meeting is standard in a successful business. Sales organizations recruit, train and motivate. We hold open meetings and encourage Distributors to bring interested people to the meetings. Weekly meetings are part of the techniques and practices to running a successful business - NuSkin included.

If you can determine the “why” in your life, along with your wants, you can establish a passion for achieving your wants. Having passion will rub off on others around you, which will eventually come full circle and positively help you achieve your goals.

Who do you want to be around? Target people that are successful and share your passion. Find your mentor(s) and become mentors to others. Observe how successful people have achieved their goals and follow a similar path and plan.
HOW
How did these successful people do it? How did your mentor do it? How are you going to do it? Start with the end in mind, keep it in mind and achieve it by committing every day to achieving your goals.
OBSTACLES

Successful people take action NOW. They don’t wait for the grass to grow under their feet. Too much analysis paralyzes people. Procrastination is a deal killer. Get the facts, make the decision and get moving towards your goals. You can adjust as you go, but get started today.
