On April 15th, 2009 Lon shared some thoughts to distributors about working the NuSkin plan. Here is a summary of those thoughts for all NuSkin Distributors and those considering joining our team.

Successful people succeed because they have passion in their lives. This passion helps these people be in charge. Happiness comes from setting “goals” and having “plans”.

WHAT
What do you want in life? Identify those things that make you happy, and create a sense of worth in your life. Creating something from scratch is far greater in terms of reward than doing something that others want you to do.

WHY
If you can determine the “why” in your life, along with your wants, you can establish a passion for achieving your wants. Having passion will rub off on others around you, which will eventually come full circle and positively help you achieve your goals.

WHO
Who do you want to be around? Target people that are successful and share your passion. Find your mentor(s) and become mentors to others. Observe how successful people have achieved their goals and follow a similar path and plan.

HOW
How did these successful people do it? How did your mentor do it? How are you going to do it? Start with the end in mind, keep it in mind and achieve it by committing every day to achieving your goals.

OBSTACLES
What are the obstacles in your way of achieving your goals? Everyone has some obstacle(s) in their lives. Why do some succeed and others fail? Most obstacles are in reality, “excuses”. I have no time, no money, no support from my spouse, etc. Make obstacles your opportunity. No success comes easy. No one is going to give you anything. You have to earn it, the old fashion way. Follow the path of great athletes – set goals, have a plan, work hard, and live every day with passion.

SOLUTION
With a plan of action, freedom to achieve your goals happens. Get a partner and get in shape with your buddy. Get passion and love what you do. Renew your plan every day, every week, every month and share your passion with those around you.

WHEN
Successful people take action NOW. They don’t wait for the grass to grow under their feet. Too much analysis paralyzes people. Procrastination is a deal killer. Get the facts, make the decision and get moving towards your goals. You can adjust as you go, but get started today.

REWARDS
Don’t count your chickens too early nor spend what you don’t have. Build a solid foundation and let leverage (double a penny every day for 31 days and you will earn $10 million) work for you. J. Paul Getty said, "he would rather have 1% of a 100 people's efforts, than 100% of his own efforts".

Help others to achieve their goals and their energy and success with feed your passion and energy. Everyone has the ability to be great. Rewards don’t come without overcoming obstacles, experiencing growing pains and working hard. Set your self free from the common place and achieve the greatness within you.
